Sharon Gitelle brings extensive community building and business development experience to on-line media companies. Most recently at SheKnows Media, Gitelle was responsible for growing The Experts Among Us program connecting content seekers and content makers, featuring a diverse mix of bloggers, social media sensations, professional writers, credentialed Experts, female entrepreneurs, and everyday hand-raisers into a cohesive community.
Using her expertise, she scaled the Experts Among Us program/community to over 2,000 members swiftly by developing and executing a targeted recruitment and retention strategy. Prior to that, at Spanfeller Media Group, the parent company of TheDailyMeal.com and TheActiveTimes.com, Gitelle managed all aspects of the Culinary Content Network, a blog network of over 350 members for culinary experts associated with The Daily Meal, as well as overseeing partnership deals.
At Forbes.com, Gitelle created the Forbes Business and Financial Blog Network and launched the ForbesWomen social media presence. In addition, she oversaw Educational Partnerships and College Admission Services at the Princeton Review.com.
Sharon loves nothing more than making a great deal (for both sides). Apart from her many professional accomplishments, she is also fiercely proud of her children, Emily and Joshua. Gitelle holds a JD from Temple University and a BA from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
